Ear Force One

My friend Cathy sent me this Inside View of Ear Force OneThank You Miss Scotland!

DISNEYLAND MARQUEE

July 17th 1985
Out with the old and in with the new
As Wally would say "From the Canadian Side"This Info on the Marquee was found over at
www.laughingplace.com/files/sign
On Monday, June 14th, 1999 a piece of Disneyland history cam e down. The Disneyland sign and marquee on Harbor Blvd. that has stood in one form or another since Disneyland opened in 1955 was brought to the ground. By Wednesday it should be all cleared away.

This was only the second sign to greet guests as they entered Disneyland in the park's 44 year history. The original marquee, erected in 1958, had letters that had to be changed by hand. This sign was updated in the mid-60s and removed completely on October 2nd and 3rd, 1989. The current computer controlled marquee has stood since then welcoming guests to Disneyland in a number of languages and letting them know the park's hours, entertainment and special events.

Disneyland has not yet announced what the replacement sign will look like or where it will be located. Below are some pictures of the sign intact and how it looked on Monday.

Check them out to see pictures of the sign being taken down

Walt's Jet Mickey 1

Walt's Jet
Mickey 1
It seems I have a theme going with Disneyland Travel and Promotion
so here it is:
THE MICKEY 1
this was the Studio Jet and Walt's personal jet.
Back in the 70s and 80s the plane was also used for
Buena Vista promotional tours
. Which meant when a Disney feature
was re-released into theaters [before VHS and DVD
the studio would send out a tour of Characters to promote the Movie.
We would do T.V. stations, Hospital and Mall visits

Either Fulton Burly, Wally Boag or Both would be the talent.
with a hand full of characters, a wardrobe person and 2 pilots
and some times a musician.
I had the pleasure of doing the Aristocat tour in 1981
25 city's in 28 days...

This is the cast of the Sleeping Beauty Tour 1979
and this is Fulton, inside the plane,
in his favorite chair playing cards...
he loved a good game of cards...

promote State Fair at Disneyland!

The Crew

Mickey and Disneyland Ambassador Kendra Howell
wave goodbye!
"Up, up and away
My beautiful, my beautiful balloon
The world's a nicer place in my beautiful balloon
It wears a nicer face in my beautiful balloon
We can sing a song and sail along the silver sky
For we can fly we can fly
Up, up and away
My beautiful, my beautiful balloon..."

Disneyland Space Mountain

I LOVE SPACE MOUNTAIN!
Last month I went to the park with a friend.
and my ticket was Goofy...
Yeah!

The only ride I really must go on is Space Mountain,
I love it! since they added the soundtrack, It's the BEST!
Here's some photos I had of the ride...
Enjoy:

So back to my day at the park,
after my friend and I get off the ride we see our picture...
Well... she's too cheap to buy it so she takes a picture of it...

Then I proceed to laugh all the way home...
this is how the picture came out!

Did I say?
"I LOVE SPACE MOUNTAIN!"
