Golfing with Goofy!

The year 1980

One day a friend told me her parents were coming to visit from back east
and her Dad was an avid Golfer...

She was performing in a show over on the west side of the park,
and had a parking space behind The Haunted Mansion...
Her dad's clubs where in her car,
so on my lunch break I got Goofy's Golf outfit and
we surprised her dad with a Golf lesson from Goofy!

To say the least, this made his day!!!

Sad, but I bet today I'd be in BIG trouble for doing this!
It's the little things that make people happy!

Tuesday Is Guest Star Day!

Today is Tuesday, you know what that means,
We're gonna have a special guest...

"Today's Guest Star: Goofy"

"Do I come out now?"

We recreated a Charleston number
that they had done on the Original MM club...
Goofy started off the number and then Lonnie came out...

Then Bonnie joined the fun

and by the end all the Mouseketters were on stage

I miss the old space stage...

Lonnie was suppose to wear the Raccoon coat.
but he couldn't dance in it...
So of course, give it to Goofy, with 22" shoes, no vision and
wearing a fiberglass head...

Today is Tuesday, you know what that means,
We're gonna have a special guest
So get out the broom and sweep the place clean
And dust off the mat so the welcome can be seen.
Roll out the carpet, strike up the band,
And give out with a Hip, Hooray! (Hip, Hooray!)
Wiggle your ears like good Mouseketeers
We're gonna present a guest today

Mouseketeers ...and Darlene...

Back in the early 80s some of the Mouseketeers came back to Disneyland to do a reunion show...
Bobby, Sherri, Sharon, Bonnie, Lonnie, Tommy, Don... and the lot... We had a great time...
The show went over so well the park brought them back again the next year... what Fun!!!
The show went through all the "Days" on the Mickey Mouse Show... "Fun With music day", "Guest Star Day",Talent round Up"...ect.
I was Goofy in the show and have to say these guys were a hoot! We worked hard
and Laughed harder! Darlene was one of my Faves!!!! She always had us rolling in laughter!
