Here Comes Santa Claus!

*Here's a shot from 1988*
We shot a commercial in front of the castle
that day and boy was it HOT!
If you look close you'll see Elves on top of the castle!
Funny thing about this was we shot footage for the commercial and then
the same footage showed up on the Disney
Christmas Sing-a -Long VHS
for the song " Here Comes Santa Claus"

and also for this print ad for AAA

Here we are on the road in singapore
having fun backstage...

and here with my dear friend Stacia!

and Santa with my friend Worthy!

Mickey's Night Before Christmas 1980

The year:Christmas1980
The Stage: The wonderful Space Stage below Space Mountain
The show: Mickeys Night Christmas

Twas the night before,
the night before... Christmas...
and all through the park,
Liver lips was primping,
The Bears hit their mark!

in the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies!"
but..
The Night Before Christmas,
and all through the park...
EVERYONE was dancing!
Especially 2 Mice, Santa Goofy,
the Kids of the Kingdom and
THE DANCING CHRISTMAS TREE!

Here's a great shot of the end of the show...
I really miss this stage...
This was taken at the first show of the day.

Mary Poppins wasn't in the show,
she just stopped by to wish "The Dancing Christmas Tree"
a Merry Christmas!
or as she would say
A Jolly Holiday!

Meet Pete's Dragon!

32 Years ago "Pete's Dragon" Premiered
Here's a flier from the Plitt Theaters
which used to be across from the Shurbert Theater
in the Century City Plaza

Like what they do in the El Captian, with live stage shows,
Buena Vista Prod. used to send out tours to promote their
New and Re Releases.
At this theater you would have meet Pete's Dragon!
which was the first stop on the tour!

3 Months later the tour cast went to New Zealand
with the Kids of the Kingdom...
Here's a program from the show there...
and this is how you would have meet Elliott

1977 The Very Merry Christmas Parade

The Brand New Parade!
and my first job at the park.

Here's an article from the DL line 12/1/77
Here's a cast photo of everyone that was in the parade
[This was taken backstage facing toward
where the "New" parking structure now is...
I miss that Arco station]
This is Marilyn Magness presenting a cake to the cast
Marilyn staged and choreographed the whole parade
The Cake
And Believe it or not,
This is my "First" paycheck stub!
Wow! I cleared $8.57
and to think I was flying down from San Francisco to LAX
then taking a Greyhound to the DL Hotel for rehearsals!
[The flight was $12 , one way, the bus was $5 one way...
you do the math!]
I was working at DISNEYLAND!!!
